Job summary

Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm, seeks a Director in Management Consulting based in Washington, DC. You will lead senior management consulting engagements, partnering with Managing Directors to deliver client insights, build relationships, and drive growth for select Technology and Services clients.

This role focuses on Growth Strategy, M&A, Commercial Due Diligence, Pricing & Revenue Monetization, Go-to-Market Strategy and Operating Model Design, with exposure to private equity portfolios.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy or management consulting with a track record of leading major strategic programs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in finance, economics, or a quantitative field; postgraduate degree preferred.
• Experience advising Technology and/or Services businesses on strategic, commercial, and operational initiatives; PE-backed experience is desirable.
• Proven ability to lead client and consulting teams through full engagements with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Structure and lead complex projects in close collaboration with a Managing Director.
• Apply consulting skills to drive analytical workstreams, deliver tailored client insights, and produce high-quality outputs.
• Develop solutions from hypothesis through refinement and validation with senior colleagues and clients.
• Manage case teams, plan and delegate work, and coach junior colleagues.
• Lead client presentations with confidence and clarity and communicate outputs effectively.
• Support business development, identify opportunities with existing clients, draft proposals, and participate in pitches.
