Job summary

Skyline Displays seeks a Director of Strategic Proposals & RFP Management to lead our proposal development and response function, crafting compelling, compliant proposals that clearly communicate Skyline's value and solutions.

You will partner with Growth, Marketing, Design, Operations, Finance and executives to coordinate strategy, content, pricing, and submission processes, while driving continuous improvement and team development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years in proposal management, bid management, marketing communications, or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Excellent writing, editing, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Director, Strategic Proposals & RFP Management

US

Salary Range: $95,000.00 To $110,000.00 Annually

Position Summary

The Director, Strategic Proposals & RFP Management leads Skyline Displays' proposal development and response function. This role is responsible for creating compelling, customer-focused proposals that clearly communicate Skyline's value, capabilities, and solutions while ensuring compliance with customer requirements.

The Director partners closely with Growth, Marketing, Design, Operations, Finance, and Executive Leadership to manage proposal strategy, content development, pricing coordination, and submission processes.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end proposal and RFP response process.
• Develop proposal strategies that align with customer objectives and Skyline's competitive strengths.
• Manage proposal schedules, review cycles, approvals, and submissions.
• Ensure proposal quality, consistency, and compliance.

Content & Knowledge Management

• Develop and maintain proposal templates, content libraries, and reusable assets.
• Partner with Marketing to ensure brand consistency and messaging alignment.
• Maintain current company information, case studies, project examples, and supporting materials.
• Improve proposal efficiency through standardized content management practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate input from Growth, Design, Operations, Project Management, Finance, and subject matter experts.
• Facilitate proposal strategy sessions and executive reviews.
• Ensure pricing, solution development, and operational commitments are aligned.
• Manage stakeholder communication throughout proposal development.

Proposal Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Track proposal win rates and performance metrics.
• Conduct post-submission and post-award reviews.
• Identify trends, lessons learned, and process improvement opportunities.
• Recommend technology solutions that enhance proposal effectiveness.
• Lead and develop proposal management team members.
• Establish performance expectations and professional development plans.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in proposal management, bid management, marketing communications, or related disciplines.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience managing complex RFP, RFQ, and strategic proposal processes.
• Excellent writing, editing, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred

• Experience in exhibit design, trade show services, experiential marketing, branded environments, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Experience supporting large strategic accounts and enterprise customers.
• Familiarity with CRM, proposal automation, and content management platforms.
