Job summary

The Paper Store, Inc. seeks a Director of Allocation & Planning to lead inventory optimization, allocation strategy, and merchandise planning across the organization.

You will guide the Senior Planning team and partner with Buying, Merchandising, Finance, Distribution, and Logistics to maximize sales, margin, and product availability. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in retail planning and allocation, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong Excel and analytics skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive retail merchandise planning and allocation management experience.
• Strong leadership skills with experience coaching Senior Planners and Allocators.
• Proven ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the allocation and planning team.
• Partner with Buying & Merchandising Leadership to execute sales, inventory, margin, and OTB strategies.
• Oversee allocation and replenishment strategies to maximize product availability and minimize stockouts.
• Guide analysis of sales, margin, inventory, receipts, and turn performance.
• Drive planning, forecasting, hindsight, and reporting processes across functions.
• Establish and monitor inventory and performance metrics for leadership.
