VAST Data in Boston seeks a proactive Director of Corporate Development & Special Projects to build and lead a new corporate development function. You will drive strategic growth through investments, M&A and special projects, partnering with the executive team.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in corporate development, investment banking, or VC/PE, with a track record of deal execution in tech. Strong financial modeling, storytelling with data, and ability to influence at the highest levels

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years in corporate development, investment banking, or VC/PE.
• Strong financial modeling and data-driven storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale the Corporate Development function from the ground up.
• Source, evaluate, and execute strategic investments and M&A.
• Lead diligence, modeling, negotiation, and integration planning.
• Maintain relationships with VCs, bankers, and targets.
• Lead Special Projects aligned with strategic priorities.
• Benchmark metrics and inform strategy with market analysis.
• Support Investor Relations with narrative and materials.
• Collaborate closely across the company with exec teams.
• Develop processes for deal sourcing and execution.
