Position Overview

The Director of Strategic Finance is responsible for coordinating budgeting and forecasting exercises, analyzing performance against budget, and conducting ad hoc analyses. This role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, and analytics for the company's integrated Credit and Insurance platforms, overseeing strategic transactions and special projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with business-level CFOs, COOs, and senior management to define reporting and analytics requirements.
• Manage the annual budget process, interim forecast updates, and long-term planning.
• Oversee analysis of strategic transactions and projects.
• Prepare and analyze monthly management reports and other analytics.
• Produce high-quality, timely information for senior management.
• Respond to ad hoc questions and requests for information.
• Analyze variances, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare presentations and key analyses for Senior Management.
• Develop and improve financial reporting and business analysis frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of experience, with at least 5 years at a Financial Institution.
• CFA or CPA preferred; MBA is a plus.
• Strong technical accounting (GAAP) skills with credit and capital markets experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and experience managing teams.
• Strong Excel skills and high-level cognitive and financial reasoning capabilities.

Compensation

Pay Range: $190,000 – $250,000, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus based on performance.
