About the Work:
The Director of Strategic Finance, Care Solutions will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Honor.
Working closely with our SVPs of Care Operations and Care Transformation and their teams, this high-impact position is far more than traditional FP&A—it's a true strategic partnership role at the heart of our business.
This is a key leadership position with frequent senior executive interaction and full company visibility. You won't just track financials—you'll actively influence operational performance, service quality, and cost efficiency across the organization. You'll lead cross-functional planning processes, translate business initiatives into financial outcomes, and ensure that the systems and structures you build help Honor scale sustainably.
You'll bring a blend of strategic thinking, financial planning, operational instincts, and systems leadership to this role. You see the big picture, dive into the details when needed, and distill complexity into clear, actionable insight to drive long-term financial health and growth. Most importantly, you're mission-driven—motivated by work that improves real people's lives.
Role Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnership: Act as the primary finance partner to senior leaders across our Care Operations and Care Transformation teams, helping shape and evaluate strategic priorities through a financial lens.
- Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning for our Care Operations and Care Transformation teams with discipline and insight. Drive alignment and ensure plans reflect both ambition and reality.
- Performance Metrics & Business Health: Develop forward-looking performance frameworks that connect financial and operational KPIs—enabling clear decision-making and accountability.
- Business Case Development: Lead the creation and evaluation of high-impact business cases, translating complex models into actionable insights that guide major investments and strategic initiatives.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Build and maintain sophisticated models that can translate operational performance into financial results. Conduct data-driven analyses to guide business initiative prioritization and resource allocation.
- Data Integration & Analysis: Leverage multiple data sources to uncover interdependencies, forecast outcomes, and generate insights that drive meaningful business change.
- Process & Systems Leadership: Identify gaps, streamline processes, and champion scalable systems (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan) that support effective planning and forecasting.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, product, legal, engineering, and marketing teams to identify opportunities, plan improvements, and track performance against budgets and goals.
- Cost-Benefit Valuation and Reporting: Independently evaluate the costs and benefits of major initiatives and produce regular reports to compare realized outcomes against projections.
- Team Management: hire, develop and manage a team of high performing professionals. Set goals and prioritize deliverables.

Qualifications
- 8-12 years of experience in finance business partner leadership, including 3+ years in senior roles supporting operations at a service-based, people-scaled business (healthcare, gig economy, staffing, multi-site operations).
- Track record of driving operational improvements and measurable ROI through strategic financial planning, data analysis, and performance management.
- Built and scaled financial planning processes (budgeting, forecasting, headcount, business reviews) for complex operations teams.
- Designed performance frameworks and hero metrics that measure business health beyond traditional financial KPIs—influencing executive-level decisions.
- Created strategic business cases and complex financial models that guided major initiatives; visualized insights to enable critical decisions.
- Experience in fast-scaling environments, with proven ability to design scalable systems and adapt to evolving organizational needs.
- Experience partnering with product and technology teams to improve service quality and lower costs by increasing operational productivity.
- Prior experience supporting startup / high growth healthcare companies is a plus, particularly in health-tech.
Our range reflects the hiring range for this position. We use national average to determine pay as we are a remote first company. Individual pay is based on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, experience, education, and training.
Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Honor offers equity and 401K with up to a 4% match. We provide medical, dental and vision coverage including zero cost plans for employees. Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance are fully employer paid with a voluntary additional Life Insurance option. We offer a generous time off program, mental health benefits, wellness program, and discount program.
Hiring Salary Range
$189,000—$222,000 USD

Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. Most of our positions are remote/work from home and do not require permanent relocation. As conditions allow, we have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA, Austin, TX, and Omaha, NE hubs.
