Equinix, the world's digital infrastructure company, seeks a Director of Corporate Development to lead AMER capital sourcing, deal execution, and portfolio prioritization. You will present to Investment Committee and senior management on capital structuring and allocation, building a regional view of deployment across organic expansion, JV, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Principal Investing or Corporate Development with direct experience sourcing or executing third‑party capital transactions.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and presenting investment recommendations to Investment Committees or equivalent governance bodies.
• Data centre experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Leads third‑party capital sourcing and execution in AMER expansion, partnering with Treasury, Finance and deal teams.
• Structures and negotiates terms for capital partnerships and JVs, protecting Equinix's economics and control.
• Manages end‑to‑end capital transactions from term sheet through diligence and closing.
• Builds a network of capital markets counterparties, institutional investors and JV partners in the data centre sector.
• Contributes to maintaining and recalibrating the AMER capital allocation framework as conditions evolve.
• Evaluates trade-offs between organic expansion, third‑party capital, and portfolio actions to optimize capital efficiency.
• Aligns capex budgets with portfolio strategy, demand signals and capital availability.
• Prepares and presents investment recommendations and capital structures to governance bodies.
• Drives origination, negotiation and execution of M&A and strategic transactions in areas of interest.
• Develops investment theses, operating models, synergy forecasts and capital structure analyses with BU Heads.
• Storyboards presentations for Senior Executives and Investment Committee.
• Operates autonomously on multi-month initiatives and coordinates cross‑team programs.
• Prepares materials and provides updates for the E‑team, senior leadership and Board.
