Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Director, Business Analytics to join our strategy and analytics team. You will work with internal and external partners to support rebate and margin optimization strategies that drive cost reduction for participant clients and present results to executive leaders.

You will extract data, develop analytic and financial models, and monitor outcomes of strategic initiatives, while mentoring teammates and driving process improvements across modeling, contracting and reporting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years work experience
• 5+ years of experience working with pharmacy claims data
• Deep understanding of Pharmacy Benefit Management
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience in data mining and data manipulation
• Ability to apply rigorous analytical techniques to develop recommendations for key business decisions
• Adept at business intelligence
• Adept at collaboration and teamwork
• Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills
• Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills

Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development and assessment of key strategic initiatives and opportunities by utilizing project management tools, complex data analyses, and stakeholder feedback
• Acts independently to identify and evaluate new business opportunities to generate additional customer savings and margin opportunities
• Works with internal teams and external partners to assess and document stakeholder needs and build solutions to meet those needs
• Analyzes and synthesizes complex data into simplified and actionable summaries and communicates and presents to senior leaders
• Extract data, develop analytic and financial models, and ongoing monitoring on results of various strategic initiatives
• Assist in training and mentoring others across the team on a wide variety of topics
• Assist in process improvement/development projects related to modeling, contract evaluation, and reporting as well as other ad-hoc projects as needed
