Job summary

GMB Power Line Services LLC is seeking a Director of Operations and Emergency Response to lead field operations nationwide, including storm support and day-work services. You will standardize processes, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive customer satisfaction while maintaining financial discipline.

You will partner with leadership, safety, fleet, HR, and finance to optimize performance, staffing, and training across regions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of utility field operations experience with leadership in storm response.
• 5+ years in senior field leadership roles (Superintendent/Operations Manager).
• Journeyman Lineman background strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, field documentation, timekeeping and contracts.
• Experience coordinating dispersed crews, equipment, and leadership under fast-changing conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all field operations and contracted day-work services.
• Standardize field execution, crew planning, logistics, mobilization and demobilization.
• Ensure work complies with contracts, safety rules, and customer expectations.
• Serve as senior operational leader during storms and high-priority needs.
• Manage relationships with utilities, vendors, and internal teams.
• Develop and monitor KPIs on safety, productivity, and financial performance.
