Job summary

Aecon is a North American construction and infrastructure company with global reach. This role focuses on Steam Generator Replacement projects in the US, leading commercial, risk, and delivery activities to ensure safe, high-quality, and profitable outcomes for Aecon’s portion of the work.

You will drive market strategy, build partnerships, oversee bids, and maintain strong client relationships with utilities and nuclear plant owners, while mentoring leaders and coordinating across engineering,

Qualifications

• 15+ years in large EPC or nuclear projects.
• Proven success in business development and client engagement.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Commercial expertise in contracts, risk, and project governance.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Aecon support of Steam Generator Team in the development of a comprehensive US Steam Generator Replacement market strategy.
• Build strategic partnerships with JV partner to strengthen market position and delivery capability.
• Oversee Aecon’s input into bid preparation, pricing strategies, and commercial negotiations to secure profitable contracts.
• Act as an executive liaison for utilities and nuclear plant owners.
• Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with client leadership teams.
• Ensure proactive communication and issue resolution to support client satisfaction and confidence.
• Represent Aecon and Steam Generator Team at industry forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, and commercial functions.
• Promote safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor senior leaders and develop succession plans.
• Support readiness activities for major outages and replacements, including tooling, logistics, and staffing.
• Participate in integrated project estimates and schedules, providing Aecon input across phases.
• Identify and drive resolution of critical issues and elevate decisions to executive leadership.
