Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of legislative and budgetary processes in Arizona.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drafting ASU's state policy and budget agenda and oversee execution.
• Meet regularly with legislators, staff and policymakers to communicate ASU’s objectives.
• Gather, analyze and convey information on trends and political developments affecting ASU.
• Attend and testify at legislative committee hearings and stakeholder meetings.
• Coordinate with government relations personnel from other universities and educational bodies.
• Prepare quarterly and annual lobbying reports and related documents.
