Qualifications

• Terminal degree in History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, or a closely related field.
• Evidence of research and teaching excellence commensurate with tenured full professor.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to engage across disciplines.
• Ability to recruit, develop, and retain faculty and staff.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and retain exceptional faculty and staff.
• Promote excellence in graduate and undergraduate programs.
• Develop and build interdisciplinary research and teaching initiatives.
• Support ASU's charter mission and forward-looking objectives.
• Expand the School's outreach and external relations.
• Provide strategic leadership in budgeting, fiscal planning, and administration.
• Foster donor relations and competitive external funding.
• Collaborate within the university and beyond to advance the School.
