AbbVie seeks a Director, BD – Specialty PCS to shape the future of our Specialty portfolio. You will identify, evaluate, and execute business development opportunities, leading commercial due diligence and building disease area strategies with cross-functional teams.

Direct engagement with senior leaders and external partners will be central to bringing transformative assets into AbbVie’s portfolio. You will partner with Research, Development, and Financial Analytics to inform strategic

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Experience in pharma commercial/marketing or related consulting strongly desired.
10+ years in pharma or related field with success in commercial roles.

Responsibilities

Lead commercial assessments for BD opportunities, including detailed financial modeling (forecasts and P&Ls).
Partner cross-functionally with Research, Development, Search & Evaluation, and Financial Analytics to support the full evaluation process.
Serve as the commercial voice in BD project reviews, presenting to senior AbbVie executives and championing opportunities with a clear commercial POV.
Engage directly with C-suite leaders at potential partner companies, VC firms, and investment banks; represent AbbVie at industry conferences.
Collaborate with global colleagues to develop robust perspectives on BD opportunities across major and emerging markets.
