Job summary

ASHP, the largest association of pharmacy professionals in the United States, seeks a Director of Human Resources Operations to administer payroll, benefits programs, and HR policies. Collaborate with the CHRO to ensure compliance with laws while guiding payroll and benefits administration.

This hybrid role requires residence in the Washington, DC area, with in-office days Tuesday–Thursday starting March 2027; the base salary ranges from $130,000 to $147,500, with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.
• Five years payroll experience.
• Five years benefits administration experience, preferably in an association.
• Three years experience as a Human Resource Manager.
• High regard for confidentiality of information.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff in a professional and customer-focused manner.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral presentation skills.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with major payroll vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversees payroll processing and manages annual payroll and workers' compensation audits.
• Manages benefit administration, including enrollments, changes, and terminations.
• Counsels employees and dependents on health and welfare plans and liaises with carriers.
• Manages retirement plan, including Form 5500 filings and annual contributions.
• Administers performance reviews and the annual bonus calculation.
• Manages Transportation Benefit program and HR offsite records storage.
• Supervises HR Generalist and their activities.
• Develops goals with the CHRO and improves HR processes.
• Partners with the CHRO to set office goals and solve problems.
