Job summary

The University of Rochester Medicine is seeking a senior space planning leader to oversee major space planning initiatives for on- and off-campus research and medical education spaces. You will manage space allocations, interpret reports, and present improvement opportunities to senior leadership.

You will supervise space planners, coordinate projects with architects and vendors, and develop metrics to measure space utilization while ensuring alignment with the university's strategic facilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; 5 years project management or space planning experience preferred.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills desired.
Knowledge of space planning software and data interpretation helpful.

Responsibilities

Oversees and directs major space planning initiatives for UR Medicine’s spaces, ensuring efficient building and land use.
Allocates space and facilities utilization; interprets reports and presents improvements to senior leadership.
Supervises space planners, coordinates with architects and contractors, and manages project timelines.
Develops metrics to measure space utilization and recommends strategic improvements.
