Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a new leader for the Modeling and Simulation Computing Department (MSCD) to deliver decision-quality data through cutting-edge software and modeling capabilities. This is a full-time onsite role based in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA requiring Top Secret/Security clearance eligibility.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, recruit and mentor staff, manage budgets, and collaborate with customers and peer organizations to advance national space

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM majors such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related technical disciplines.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible professional engineering/scientific experience.
• Strong ability to build relationships across contractors, customers, management, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute organizational strategies aligned with corporate and customer objectives.
• Assemble and lead cross-organizational teams to build national space modeling and simulation capabilities.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard staff; manage staff assignments; provide regular performance feedback.
