Job summary

Requirements include a bachelor’s or higher in a STEM field, 3+ years of modern software development, strong C/C++, Python, and experience with large codebases. Top Secret/SCI clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a STEM field.
• 3+ years of modern software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++, preferably C++20.
• Experience with Python and large code bases.
• Experience in modeling and simulation software development.
• Experience in optics, beam control, or related areas is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong communication.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new, customer-driven capabilities into mod & sim tools.
• Use a modern tech stack and enforce best practices in software development.
• Translate programmatic requirements into actionable work.
• Collaborate with program offices and customers on modeling tasks.
• Develop and present briefings and reports for stakeholders.
• Travel occasionally as required.
