Job summary

The Baldwin Group is seeking a Director of Solutions Architecture to lead the architecture function, translating business priorities into scalable, secure technology solutions. This role partners with product, engineering, security, data, and infrastructure to set architecture standards and guide design across applications, cloud, and integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, information technology, engineering, information systems, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 10–12 years of progressive experience in solutions architecture, software engineering, or related technology roles.
• 5+ years leading architects, managers, or technical teams.
• Experience with API management and integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Kong, or Apigee.
• AWS and Azure cloud experience; modern cloud architecture principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the solution architecture roadmap, standards, and operating model for assigned technology domains.
• Establish and govern architecture principles, reference patterns, and decision-making frameworks.
• Lead architecture review processes, architectural decision records, and governance forums.
• Ensure solutions adhere to security standards, resiliency objectives, and regulatory compliance.
• Translate business strategies into scalable solution architectures and roadmaps.
• Guide API strategy, event-driven patterns, and interoperability across platforms.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of enterprise platforms, cloud services, and third-party solutions.
• Define reusable architecture frameworks and design standards to accelerate delivery.
• Champion best practices in cloud architecture, reliability, observability, and cost optimization.
• Lead architecture managers and senior architects, building a strong leadership bench.
