Xcel Energy is seeking a senior IT leader to transition fragmented software and service spend into an accountable partner ecosystem, improving delivery performance and resilience. The role oversees IT planning, portfolio management, and budget responsibilities across multiple business units.

Responsibilities include vendor governance, risk and escalation management, and developing teams to drive value realization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• Ten years of IT experience and/or integrated utility and regulatory business experience building and developing teams.
• Experience managing leaders of teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with internal and external teams and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage strategic technology plans and roadmaps to enable business objectives.
• Identify, investigate and resolve production problems; drive IT performance improvements.
• Manage investments, projects and activities within an IT portfolio and prioritize deliverables.
• Develop a high performing team through coaching and mentoring; foster continuous learning.
• Manage capital, expense and in-servicing budgets; ensure regulatory commitments and financial prudency.
