Job summary

Roche is seeking a technical Director of SHE, Facilities & Security to lead our site’s resilience, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety culture. You will bridge site operations with corporate strategy, guiding a small team and collaborating with leadership, scientists, and facility staff.

We seek 12+ years of progressive operational leadership in life sciences with a track record of business-aligned safety and facilities programs.

Qualifications

12+ years of progressive operational leadership in life sciences or high-complexity industrial environments.
5+ years of direct people management leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Deep expertise in regulatory analysis and safety program management.

Responsibilities

Translate global directives and regulations into local site policies and programs.
Represent SHE on site leadership teams to influence corporate policy and cross-functional alignment.
Oversee facilities engineering, maintenance, and capital projects ensuring 100% readiness of critical power and monitoring systems.
Lead site disaster recovery frameworks and act as Incident Commander during emergencies.
Manage industrial hygiene, biosafety, chemical safety, and hazardous materials programs for the facility.
Direct regulatory interactions, audits, and inspections to maintain perpetual inspection readiness.
Mentor and develop a high-performing safety team and culture.
