Job summary

Planet Pharma is seeking a seasoned facilities engineering leader to guide a multi-site team, drive safety, and deliver reliable building systems. You will set goals, coach staff, and supervise staffing plans to ensure operational excellence.

You will lead capital projects, manage budgets and vendors, optimize energy use, and ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE, and local codes. A strong background in building automation and CMMS is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Engineering or related field.
• 9+ years in facilities engineering/management with 3–5 years in leadership.
• Experience in the medical device industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building automation, mechanical/electrical systems, and utilities.
• Proficiency with CMMS platforms and engineering documentation.
• Deep understanding of safety, energy codes and environmental compliance.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and solve complex problems.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor facilities engineering team across multiple sites.
• Champion project management and standardize processes.
• Oversee daily operation and maintenance of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, controls).
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ASHRAE and local codes.
• Implement preventive/predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.
• Develop long-term engineering strategy and lead root-cause analyses.
• Plan, budget, and execute capital projects; manage design reviews and vendor selection.
• Negotiate vendor contracts and manage service levels.
• Track KPIs and report spending and resource utilization.
• Drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and maintain audit-ready documentation.
