Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ is seeking an experienced leader for ServiceNow Quality Engineering to manage testing across ITSM/ITOM and related modules.

You will define roadmaps, drive automated and manual testing, and partner with developers, product owners, and IT leadership to ensure high-quality releases. The role requires deep ServiceNow expertise, AI-enabled testing maturity, and strong communication across agile squads.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of testing leadership and management experience.
• AutomatePro framework experience is required.
• In-depth ITIL processes and ITSM knowledge are highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the testing roadmap and QA standards across ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, IRM/GRC, HRSD).
• Create test plans; coordinate unit, SIT, regression, and UAT testing.
• Validate configurations and integrations before production upgrades/patches.
• Lead a maturity roadmap to transform Testing into Quality Engineering with AI-driven capabilities.
• Lead defect triage; collaborate with developers and product owners for timely resolution.
• Build and scale automated test suites using AutomatePro and ServiceNow ATF.
• Perform data validation across CMDB and data migration activities.
• Track KPIs and support testers in executing test scripts.
• Mentor junior testers and distribute workloads across squads.
