The City of New York Mayor’s Office is seeking a Senior Advisor and Director for the Workforce Development Board to guide policy, oversight, and program strategy under WIOA. You will lead a team, manage multi‑agency coordination, and ensure compliance with federal and state workforce laws.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with SBS and DYCD, and provide executive-level memos, briefings, and policy guidance to drive equitable access to good jobs for New Yorkers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• 8+ years in government, public-policy, legal, or intergovernmental affairs, with at least three years in a managerial capacity.
• Master’s degree in Public Administration, policy, Juris Doctorate, or a related field, preferred.

Responsabilités

• Advise NYC Talent and City leaders on leveraging WIOA to advance economic mobility.
• Oversee WIOA funding, governance, and Board bylaws and meeting documentation.
• Lead development of the 4-year WIOA Local Plan and coordinate with partner agencies.
• Ensure compliance with WIOA and related laws across the Board and NYC Talent.
