Overview
The company is a buy-side M&A advisory firm that helps executives and business owners acquire companies in the $.5M–$10M range. We serve 100+ active buyers and generate massive deal flow through proprietary systems. We're now launching a sell-side practice—and we're looking for someone to build it.
The Opportunity
We have the infrastructure: a high-volume lead engine surfacing businesses for sale, a sales team converting sellers, and a network of qualified buyers ready to transact. What we don't have is someone who knows how to run sell-side deals from engagement to close. That's where you come in. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build and own an entire practice within a rapidly scaling firm. You\'ll start as a producing advisor—handling valuations, CIMs, buyer marketing, and deal execution. As volume grows, you\'ll hire and lead a team to support the full sell-side lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Own full-cycle sell-side advisory: seller engagement, valuation, CIM preparation, buyer outreach, negotiation, and close
- Build the playbook—processes, templates, and systems for repeatable deal execution
- Leverage our existing buyer network (100+) and deal flow infrastructure
- Collaborate with internal sales team that\'s already converting seller leads
- Hire and develop a sell-side advisory team as deal volume scales
- Report directly to the Managing Partner on pipeline, deal status, and growth strategy
Requirements
- Proven sell-side M&A experience at a brokerage, advisory firm, or investment bank
- Track record closing deals in the $.5M–$10 range (lower middle market)
- Hands-on experience with valuations, CIM creation, and managing buyer processes
- Operational mindset—you\'ve built or improved sell-side processes, not just executed them
- Comfortable producing while simultaneously building systems and team
Nice to Have
- Experience building or scaling a sell-side practice or team
- Background working with owner-operated or founder-led businesses
- Existing relationships with buyers, brokers, or intermediaries
Compensation
- Commission: 40% of all sell-side deal fees
- Long-term equity participation for the right person
