Job summary

Indianapolis Public Schools is seeking a visionary Director of Education Technology to bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and classroom innovation. Reporting to the Chief Systems Officer, you will lead a district-wide digital learning agenda that accelerates student achievement and empowers educators across 30,000+ IPS students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a district-wide digital learning roadmap to ensure equitable tech access for 30,000+ students.
• Oversee the lifecycle of instructional technology tools (LMS, devices, digital curricula) and integrate with IT infrastructure.
• Lead large-scale tech deployments from pilots to district-wide rollouts with high user adoption.
• Partner with Learning to design PD moving from substitution to redefinition of learning with tech.
• Use data analytics to evaluate ROI of software/hardware and guide scaling decisions.
