Qualifications

• Ph.D. from a recognized institution with scholarly work in STEM, preferably engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in engineering education and its application in higher education.
• Proven ability to secure external funding for academic projects.
• Experience with curriculum innovation and technology-enhanced learning environments.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students and administrators.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to advance SAET’s academic and research missions.
• Position SAET as a leader in engineering education.
• Strengthen partnerships with industry, government, and educational institutions.
• Expand SAET’s graduate programs in applied and interdisciplinary research.
• Raise SAET’s visibility in national forums for engineering education and pedagogy.
• Facilitate a research environment with active collaborations with academia, industry, and government agencies.
• Foster excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and scholarly activity.
• Lead accreditation efforts and ensure continuous program recognition and improvement.
• Promote professional growth of faculty and staff and oversee recruitment and retention.
