Job summary

NJIT seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach up to two undergraduate courses in the SAET programs (BMET, CET, CIM, CMT, ECET, IET, MET, SET) for Fall, Spring or Summer semesters. Both day and/or evening sections are available and coordination will be handled by the Program Coordinator.

Applicants should have an MS in engineering or a closely related field; PhD and prior teaching experience are preferred, with potential for strong industrial experience related to CET, CIM, CMT, ECET, IET, MET, or

Responsibilities

• Teach one or two undergraduate courses for Fall, Spring or Summer semesters as assigned by the Program Coordinator.

Position Summary

The School of Applied Engineering and Technology has an ongoing need for Adjuncts, each teaching up to two undergraduate courses in either Biomedical Engineering Technology (BMET), Construction Engineering Technology (CET), Concrete Industry Management (CIM), Construction Management Technology (CMT), Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET), Industrial Engineering Technology (IET), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), Software and Data Engineering Technology and Surveying Engineering Technology (SET) for the upcoming semester(s).

Essential Functions

The successful candidate will teach one or two courses for the Fall, Spring or Summer semesters, as assigned by the appropriate Program Coordinator. Both day and/or evening sections are available.

Pre-Requisite Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a MS in Construction/Civil, Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Medical Informatics, Manufacturing, or Surveying Engineering, or in a closely related field.
• Preferred qualifications include:
• PhD and prior teaching experience,
• Full-time industrial experience in a job related to CET, CIM, CMT, ECET, IET, MET, or SET.
