Position Overview: The Director, Sales is responsible for leading, motivating, and managing a team of sales professionals to meet or exceed sales targets within their assigned region or vertical. This role involves driving sales performance, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the sales team, and developing strategies to enhance revenue growth. You need to possess a strong attention to detail, prior experience in people management, and an extensive background in successful B2B sales.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales professionals to meet or exceed sales targets within their region or vertical.
  2. Drive sales performance, oversee daily activities, and develop strategies for revenue growth.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, prospects, and partners.
  4. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  5. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new customer acquisition, account expansion, and upselling.
  6. Manage the sales pipeline and collaborate with marketing for campaigns.
  7. Track sales performance, generate reports, and utilize CRM systems.
  8. Work with cross-functional teams to align sales initiatives and develop sales collateral.
  9. Stay current on industry trends and participate in industry events.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in Sales or business operations.
  3. 2+ years managing HCM Account Executives.
  4. Experience with payroll, HR, time and attendance solutions, and large organizations.
  5. Proficient in CRM software.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Ability to travel and work remotely.

Additional Information: This is a full-time, remote position within the U.S., with a base pay range of $102,600 - $180,000/year, plus commissions and stock options. Paylocity is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity and inclusion.
