Job summary

Johnson & Johnson Innovation seeks a Director of Safety Data Science to drive advanced analytics, AI, ML, and data science capabilities within the Safety Analytics team of Global Medical Safety (GMS). You will lead projects, define scalable data pipelines, and deliver decision-support solutions that improve medical safety and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Informatics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative discipline.
• Significant experience leading advanced analytics, ML/AI, data science, healthcare analytics, or related scientific functions.
• Experience supporting medical safety, pharmacovigilance, real-world evidence, healthcare analytics, or related life-science functions is required.
• Ability to lead analytics initiatives, build end-to-end solutions, and drive business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytics, AI/ML, and data science initiatives for Global Medical Safety.
• Build scalable analytical products, platforms, and decision-support capabilities.
• Define data pipelines, assets, and dashboards enabling data-driven decisions.
• Communicate insights to leadership and stakeholders and mentor analytics staff.
