South Texas College is seeking a Director of Risk, Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability to lead and coordinate EHS strategies across the campus. You will work with executive leadership and multiple departments to develop, implement and evaluate safety and sustainability programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and staff safety.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, at least four years in environmental health and safety with supervisory experience, strong communication, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• At least four years of experience in environmental health and safety or related field with three years in supervision or management.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manages compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as it pertains to health and safety.
• Evaluates environmental health and safety procedures, programs, functions and activities.
• Collaborates with other directors to implement safety and environmental procedures.
• Manages worker safety training programs across the district.
• Oversees, investigates and recommends actions for injury related incidents.
• Analyzes potential worker safety risks and implements mitigation measures.
• Oversees audits and inspections of facilities and environment.
• Manages department budget and purchasing decisions.
• Supervises safety inspections and related training.
• Maintains Hazardous Materials handling/safety programs and Fire & Life Safety Program.
• Oversees Indoor Environmental Quality and Laboratory Safety planning.
• Presents safety information to College personnel and coordinates with teams.
