Job summary

THE·TEAM in Los Angeles is expanding with a Director, Rights Sales to drive sponsorship revenue for sports, entertainment and lifestyle clients. You will lead strategy, prospecting, presentations, negotiations and closing partnerships across multiple assignments.

You will manage internal and external teams, mentor junior staff, and build long-term client relationships while navigating a fast-paced market. A proven track record in selling sponsorships and a deep industry network are essential.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years sponsorship sales experience.
  • Track record in selling sports and/or entertainment sponsorships.
  • Expertise in identifying opportunities and developing strategies.
  • Institutional knowledge and deep understanding of the sponsorship industry & athlete marketing.
  • Exemplary problem solving, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Generate sponsorship revenue for clients (sports, entertainment, media & lifestyle properties).
  • Lead and own all facets of the sales process including strategy development, prospecting, presentations, negotiating, and closing partnerships.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Execute effective corporate sales calls and presentations to meet sales objectives.
  • Oversee and maintain relationships with Rights client(s) and create sales plans to market them.

For more information, please visit the.team .JOB OVERVIEW:We are expanding the team with a Director, Rights Sales role. This role will be a key part of the team with an emphasis on selling partnerships on behalf of our clients (property rights holders). This individual should possess a strong sales and business acumen, network of contacts and knowledge on both the client and agency side and passion/knowledge of the sports and entertainment landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative team responsible for sales growth for key Rights clients.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Responsible for generating sponsorship revenue for clients (sports, entertainment, media & lifestyle properties)Lead and own all facets of the sales process including strategy development, identifying new and emerging categories, prospect outreach, presentations, negotiating, and closing partnershipsManage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentExecute effective corporate sales calls and presentations in order to meet established sales objectivesOversee and maintain relationships with Rights client(s)Create sales plans to effectively bring to marketLead internal account sales team and external client team to implement the goals and objectives of the client/property and drive performance, ensuring maximum success for all partiesManage partnership sales team to move opportunities through the sales funnelAct as strategic thought partner for internal and external teams and coach internal team through prospecting, positioning, and deal structuring activities as neededManage and work with account sales team to implement the goals and objectives of the client/propertyAct as strategic thought partner for internal and external teams and coach internal team through prospecting, positioning, and deal structuring activities as neededWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:8+ years sponsorship sales experienceSuccessful track history of selling sports and/or entertainment sponsorshipsExpertise in identifying opportunities and developing strategiesInstitutional knowledge and deep understanding of the sponsorship industry & athlete marketingExemplary problem solving, communication, and presentation skillsMust have a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contactsComputer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointSalesforce capabilities a plusAbility to travel for applicable client and prospective sponsor meetingsBase salary range: $125K - $150K base, plus commission and incentives.Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to: market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
