Job summary

Xenon Pharmaceuticals Inc. is seeking a Director, Revenue Accounting to lead revenue recognition and GTN accounting under ASC 606. This hybrid role based in the Boston/Needham area partners with Commercial and Finance teams to deliver accurate revenue reporting and robust forecasting.

The role requires CPA or equivalent, 10+ years in biotech finance, and experience launching a commercial product. Senior leadership will shape SOX-compliant controls and data infrastructure.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent required; Big Four background preferred.
• 10+ years in biotech/pharma finance with commercial exposure.
• Experience designing commercial accounting processes under US GAAP and SOX.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain GTN reserve methodologies (rebates, chargebacks, copays, patient programs).
• Manage monthly close for revenue and GTN; perform reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Forecast GTN and revenue; align Commercial forecast with guidance; analyze pricing and margins.
• Oversee government pricing reporting and state price transparency with stakeholders.
• Enhance finance systems for planning and reporting of commercial accounting and GTN.
• Maintain data flows with 3PLs; ensure data completeness and accuracy.
