Job summary

HARMAN is seeking a Director, Retail and Strategic Channels based in Minneapolis to lead growth across major national retail and service-provider partners. You will drive revenue, expand distribution, and strengthen retail partnerships for premium brands like Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, Marantz, Polk Audio, and more.

You will manage national accounts and lead inside and outside sales teams, developing joint business plans with large retailers and guiding multi-channel execution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience in North America consumer electronics or related technology categories.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing national retail accounts (Best Buy or major retail partners or technology retailers).
  • Strong leadership experience managing field sales teams, inside sales teams, or rep organizations.
  • Experience developing and executing joint business plans with large retail partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, category expansion, and market share gains.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with senior retail stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial planning capabilities.

About the Role

As the Director, Retail and Strategic Channels, you will lead Sound United’s growth across major national retail and service‑provider partners. Based in Minneapolis, you will drive revenue, expand distribution, and strengthen retail partnerships across key national accounts.

You will develop joint business plans, drive retail execution strategies, and partner closely with field teams to grow Sound United’s premium audio brands, including Bowers & Wilkins, Denon, Marantz, Polk Audio, Classe, and Definitive Technology.

You will also lead inside and outside sales teams focused on national accounts, field execution, and retail partner support.

What Makes You Eligible
  • Willing to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
  • Willing to work remotely from a home office in Minneapolis, with a commute to other Harman offices as needed.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
Compensation

Pay: $161,250 – $236,500. Depending on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.
