Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest is seeking a Director of Respiratory Services to lead and elevate respiratory care across a 415+ bed acute care hospital. The role oversees staffing, budgeting, policies, and clinical operations to ensure high-quality patient care for all ages.

The Director will provide leadership for supervisors and staff, align clinical services with hospital goals, and foster innovation in patient care within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• NBRC-RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
• RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• 5+ years clinical supervisory experience in respiratory care including critical care
• 5+ years as a clinical manager post initial RRT credentialing in an acute care hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of respiratory services.
• Provide leadership and ensure staffing, budgeting and policy development for the respiratory department.
• Oversee clinical and operational aspects of hospital respiratory care services.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy

Master's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (preferred)

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director performs designated duties related to planning, coordinating and delivery of care and other patient care services to ensure optimum patient care to all age groups. Provides leadership, assures clinical as well as instrumentation, competencies, and coordinate activities of supervisors and staff. They are responsible for the safe daily operations, staffing, financial management, planning, marketing and developing policies and procedures for the clinical and operational aspect of hospital departments.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support

• (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
