Collins Aerospace is seeking a Systems Engineering Director to lead the Resilient Navigation strategy within the Advanced CNS Sandbox. You will act as a technical authority and bridge between ART and Avionics, shaping navigation technology from research to market-ready products for aviation lines.
The role requires recognized expertise in navigation technologies, with experience in research, technology maturation, and product strategy, plus a collaborative, future-focused mindset.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree with extensive experience in navigation tech.
- Proven ability in modeling, simulation, and algorithm development.
- Experience with system-level design for aviation navigation and safety.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Resilient Navigation roadmap for the Advanced CNS Sandbox.
- Provide domain expertise to navigation technologists; develop and demonstrate novel capabilities.
- Collaborate with Avionics product lines to mature technology and support strategy.
- Engage with international standards bodies to develop next‑gen concepts.
- Monitor emerging technologies for next‑gen aircraft capabilities.
- Contribute to technical strategy and cross‑functional business development.
