The Maryland State Department of Education is seeking a Director of Research, Policy and Partnerships. Salary Range: $95,991 - $154,928*

This position serves as the Director of Research, Policy and Partnerships, reporting directly to the Assistant State Superintendent of the Division of Early Childhood (DEC). The role involves providing research and policy development and implementation support across DEC offices, leading the development and execution of DEC’s strategic policy agenda. Responsibilities include reviewing and assessing existing policies, identifying improvements, coordinating research and stakeholder engagement, and developing policies related to early childhood and Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF). The position emphasizes policy analysis, research, stakeholder collaboration, and strategic policy development to support Maryland’s early childhood initiatives, including regulations, programs, and systems alignment.
