Job summary

Icelandic Provisions is seeking a Director of Logistics and Customer Service in New York to lead warehousing, transportation, and customer support. You will craft a high-performing supply chain strategy to ensure in-stock availability, while driving cost reductions and carbon emission improvements across the network.

You will partner with commercial and finance teams to enable data-driven decisions, expand EDI and AI-enabled workflows, and build a culture of excellence in service and operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive logistics and customer service experience in the CPG space.
• Experience with ERP, TMS, EDI, WMS and AI-enabled workflows.
• Experience leading a team in customer service, inventory management, and transportation/warehousing.
• Experience with chilled products and short shelf-life items.
• Experience partnering with senior management on strategy and with Finance on inventory analytics.

Responsibilities

• Develop logistics and transportation strategy, process architecture, and metrics to maximize value and in-stock performance.
• Lead distribution, transportation, warehousing, and policy direction from manufacture to customer facilities.
• Own the logistics budget including freight and warehousing spend.
• Lead the customer service team to provide best-in-class support for internal and external customers.
• Collaborate with commercial and finance to support customer analysis and inventory analytics.
• Drive automation, expand EDI, and integrate AI into workflows and month-end processes.
