Shell is seeking a Director, Regulatory Carbon to join our team in Houston, Texas, or San Diego, California. This role supports trading and RNG origination by monitoring regulatory changes, advising commercial teams, and overseeing compliance across the Americas. The ideal candidate has extensive carbon market experience and regulatory acumen.

Qualifications

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
• Deep knowledge of North American carbon programs (California cap-and-Invest, RGGI, etc.) and RNG/clean fuel programs
• Ability to translate regulatory developments into commercial actions and risk management

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary regulatory advisor to the Commercial team on regulatory drivers and portfolio impacts
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting carbon markets and communicate business impacts
• Develop and advocate policy positions with regulators, trade associations and government relations teams
• Oversee regulatory reporting obligations and ensure compliance across the Americas
