Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Director of Red Team to lead advanced adversary simulations and security assessments across complex enterprise environments.

You will empower a high-performing offensive security team, align testing with threat intelligence, and partner with detection, response, and security engineering to improve preventive and detective controls. Strong leadership and communication are essential for executive-level briefings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, with at least 6 years in offensive security/red team roles.
• 3+ years leading offensive security teams or programs at enterprise scale.
• Strong command of MITRE ATT&CK and threat intelligence; translate actor behavior into emulation plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief executives credibly.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mature the Red Team strategy aligned to business risk.
• Enforce Rules of Engagement and safety controls for adversary simulations.
• Lead and mentor red team engineers and offensive security operators.
• Coordinate with detection, threat intelligence, and security engineering to drive improvements.
• Translate complex exploit chains into risk narratives for leadership.
