Job summary

AstraZeneca GmbH is seeking a Director of Real-World Evidence for Early Assets in Wilmington, DE. You will define the US evidence strategy before launch, shaping the early value story for pricing and access.

Lead burden of illness and comparative evidence, and guide study designs with cross-functional teams. You will harness real-world data, apply causal methods, and partner with global counterparts to ensure alignment with Integrated Evidence Plans.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Outcomes Research, Biostatistics, or related field.
• 5+ years of RWE experience in pharma/healthcare.
• Deep proficiency in observational study design, real-world data sources, and causal inference.

Responsibilities

• Define US evidence strategy pre-launch to inform pricing and access decisions.
• Lead burden-of-illness, unmet-need, and comparative context studies.
• Oversee RWE study design: natural history, disease burden, registries, and observational analyses.
• Identify fit-for-purpose data sources (claims, EMR, registries) and ensure data representativeness.
• Monitor US payer/policy trends and translate insights into study priorities.
• Deliver early economic analyses to support pricing hypotheses and HTA planning.
• Collaborate with Global teams to align study design with Integrated Evidence Plans.
• Develop external partnerships with academia, registries, and data providers.
• Ensure compliant use of AI/ML tools in RWE workflows and governance.
