Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Director of Development based in Sacramento, CA, to lead cradle-to-grave development projects in the region. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required in Finance, Business, Real Estate, Economics, Construction, Architecture or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in real estate development.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with excellent financial acumen and proficiency in real estate underwriting and real estate finance concepts.
• Dynamic verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Promotes a customer-centric culture and leads with passion and market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manages due diligence on land opportunities and develops documentation and recommendations on key findings affecting return and financial performance.
• Prepares investment memorandums with pro-forma and budgets for submission to the Investment Committee.
• Supports negotiation of sale and purchase agreements, issues LOIs, negotiates PSA and ensures compliance with documents.
• Establishes finish schedule for preconstruction and resolves Geotech, Environmental and Land Use matters.
• Directs third-party design teams to prepare construction documents within approved scope and pricing.
• Reviews soft costs and cost classifications to align with budget.
