Job summary

PKF O’Connor Davies seeks an experienced Director of R&D Tax Credits to lead federal and state studies across industries. You will oversee interviews, analyses, documentation, and delivery of credit analyses for clients while mentoring teams.

Work closely with Partners, drive client relationships, contribute to business development, and stay current on evolving R&D credit rules. The role requires 10+ years in tax credits, CPA or EA, and a passion for technical tax solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience with significant experience specializing in R&D Tax Credits.
• Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent designation required.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D Tax Credit studies across varied industries.
• Advise on IRC Section 41 and related regulations.
• Evaluate activities to identify qualifying R&D expenditures.
• Scope engagements and determine resources.
• Conduct technical interviews with client personnel for Section 41 compliance.
• Review calculations, workpapers, and deliverables for accuracy.
• Develop client relationships and mentor team members.
• Support business development for Tax Credits practice.
