PKF O’Connor Davies seeks an R&D Tax Credit Director to lead federal and state credit engagements across diverse industries. You will scope, document, and deliver studies, working with Partners, clients, and engagement teams.

Responsibilities include mentoring staff, expanding the Tax Credits practice, and pursuing new opportunities, including energy-related credits. A CPA or Enrolled Agent and 10+ years in R&D tax credits are required.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of progressive tax experience with R&D Tax Credits.
• CPA license or Enrolled Agent designation required.
• Experience leading complex R&D Tax Credit studies.
• Strong client service and relationship management.
• Proficiency with federal/state tax credit rules and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage R&D Tax Credit studies for diverse industries.
• Advise on IRC Section 41 and Treasury Regulations.
• Evaluate activities to identify qualifying R&D expenditures.
• Scope engagements, plan projects, and allocate resources.
• Conduct technical interviews with client personnel.
• Review calculations, workpapers, and narratives.
• Develop client relationships and support business growth.
• Mentor engagement team members.
• Support energy-related and other tax credits opportunities.
