Job summary

Protouch Staffing seeks a Director of Quality Assurance / Quality Control to lead QA/QC on local and national architecture and engineering projects, enhancing processes, overseeing audits, and mentoring staff to sustain a culture of quality.

This role requires a BA/BS in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field with 10+ years in the industry and 5+ years in QA/QC, plus strong analytical and communication skills for collaboration with principals and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience specifically in quality assurance and quality control in the architectural or A/E/C fields.
• 10+ years of relevant experience in the industry.
• Strong understanding of architectural design, design and documentation processes, building codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Enhance and implement QA/QC process for all projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular reviews and audits of deliverables to verify adherence to standards and specs.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of QA/QC reviews and revisions.
• Collaboration: Work with principals, directors, PMs, architects, engineers and stakeholders to address quality issues.
• Training: Mentor, train, and support staff on QA/QC processes, tools, and techniques.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement refinements to QA/QC processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on codes, laws, regulations, and standards affecting A/E/C industry.

Director of Quality Assurance / Quality Control

We are seeking talented and determined Director of Quality Assurance Quality Control who will have exciting opportunities to work on both local and national projects while gaining valuable client facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Quality Assurance: Enhance and implement our comprehensive QA/QC process for all projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes and best practices.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular reviews and audits of project deliverables to verify adherence to quality standards and specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality control reviews and monitor that required document revisions are incorporated. Overall, ensuring proper documentation of all quality processes.
• Collaboration: Work closely with principals, directors, project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to address quality issues and implement solutions effectively.
• Training: Provide mentoring, training, and support to staff on QA/QC processes, tools, and techniques to continue fostering our culture of quality within the organization.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in processes and systems and recommend changes to enhance quality performance. Implement refinements to our QA/QC process with staff to improve outcomes and efficiencies.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant codes, laws, regulations, and standards affecting the A/E/C industry and ensure the firm’s compliance.

Education, Experience, Skill Sets

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience specifically in quality assurance and quality control in the architectural or A/E/C fields.
• 10+ years of relevant experience required within the industry.
• Strong understanding of architectural design, design and documentation processes, building codes, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and constructively mentor staff within the firm.
