FoodStory Brands, LLC seeks a Director of Quality Assurance & Food Safety to own the QA program for its protein bar brand. You will lead co‑manufacturers, set testing and labeling strategies, and drive regulatory readiness.

The role requires 10+ years in QA, PCQI certification, and strong FDA/FSMA knowledge. This on‑site position in Phoenix reports to the SVP of Operations and includes 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Nutrition, Chemistry, or related field.
• 10+ years QA/food safety in manufacturing, incl. leadership of programs.
• Co‑manufactured CPG experience required; bars/low‑moisture preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own QA program end to end, including recalls, traceability, and consumer complaints.
• Set quality strategy, budget, KPIs; report to executives monthly.
• Lead co‑manufacturers and suppliers with risk‑based qualification.
• Ensure FDA labeling compliance and allergen controls across partners.
• Develop and maintain QMS, SOPs, and documentation systems.
