Job summary

Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon/Indy area seeks an experienced group leader for the PTE team to build a high‑performing, collaborative culture. You will shape purification and conjugation strategies, mentor scientists, and drive pipeline delivery across modalities while ensuring regulatory and quality standards.

This role requires a PhD and 12+ years in biologics DS development/manufacturing, with hands‑on expertise in chromatography, TFF/UFDF, viral inactivation, and tech transfer.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Biological/Chemical Engineering or related fields.
• 12+ years in biologics DS development/manufacturing, with 8+ years in purification.
• Deep downstream unit operations knowledge: chromatography, TFF/UFDF, viral inactivation, viral filtration.
• Experience leading and coaching direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of PTE scientists with deep technical expertise in downstream bioprocessing across modalities.
• Provide technical oversight for DS purification and conjugation process tech transfer.
• Define and lead purification/conjugation technology strategy and CAPEX alignment.
• Represent PTE in cross-functional collaboration and regulatory interactions, audits, and inspections.
