HDR is seeking a highly experienced Business Class Director for Pump Stations and Pipelines to lead technical and staff development across HDR’s Water Business Group. The role emphasizes risk management, project oversight, and strategic planning to deliver safe, sustainable water infrastructure and tunnel projects.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in a leadership role within Professional Services, professional registration, and a proven ability to mentor teams and collaborate across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field is required or preferred.
• Experience leading diverse teams in professional services.
• Strong collaboration with other HDR directors, operations managers and marketing managers.
• Commitment to HDR values and employee-owned culture.
• Professional registration for technical leadership roles when core service is design.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build relationships with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead risk management through reviews, advisory services, and claims prevention.
• Drive quality assurance and control with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development of tools, standards and techniques for service quality.
• Staff assignment and resource planning for projects including worksharing.
• Develop strategic plans with market sector directors and leadership.
