Job summary

McLaren Health Plan is seeking a Director of Provider Network Strategy & Contracting to lead end-to-end provider network development and contracting across multiple lines of business. The role focuses on affordability, quality, and market competitiveness within Michigan markets.

The position requires a strong background in provider network management, government programs, and supervisory leadership, with a preference for a master’s degree and Michigan market experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Eight (8) years of experience in provider network management, provider contracting, or value-based payment (VBP), including three (3) years in government programs.
• Experience leading multi-market provider contracting or network development; supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the health plan’s end-to-end provider network strategy and contracting.
• Drive affordability, quality goals, and competitive market performance across Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial lines.
• Oversee cross-functional governance across clinical, financial, and operational teams to align with product and market objectives.
