Job summary

McLaren Health Plan is seeking a Director of Provider Network Strategy & Contracting to lead the end-to-end provider network and contracting strategy across Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial markets. The role focuses on affordability, quality, access, and market competitiveness within Michigan and related programs.

The Director will guide strategic contracting initiatives, oversee governance across clinical, financial, and operational teams, and ensure regulatory readiness while strengthening

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field.
• At least 8 years in provider network management or value-based payment.
• 3+ years leading government programs (Medicaid, Medicare, MA/D SNP) in multi-market contracting.
• Valid state driver’s license and car insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end provider network strategy and contracting.
• Advance affordability and quality goals across Medicaid, Medicare, and Commercial lines.
• Lead cross-functional governance across clinical, financial, and operational teams.
• Monitor network performance: cost, utilization, and quality outcomes, and drive provider engagement.
