Job summary

Astrana Health, Inc. is seeking a Director, Provider Relations to lead engagement and performance improvement across markets. This senior leadership role develops and executes strategies for value-based care, risk adjustment, and operational excellence.

You will partner with executive leadership, providers, and cross-functional teams to drive quality, coordination, and financial outcomes while mentoring Provider Relations Managers and building a high-performing network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Minimum 8 years of healthcare leadership experience in Provider Relations or related areas.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience managing provider-facing teams.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Commercial, and value-based care programs.
• Strong knowledge of HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings, risk adjustment, RAF methodology.
• Ability to translate data into provider strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute provider engagement and performance improvement strategies.
• Lead provider-facing initiatives on quality, risk adjustment, utilization management, and financial sustainability.
• Partner with providers to drive practice transformation and population health management.
• Monitor provider performance and develop action plans to improve quality, coding, documentation, and cost of care.
• Serve as strategic advisor for key provider organizations and partnerships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address claims, authorizations, credentialing, rosters, and directory accuracy.
• Support network development, provider retention, and market expansion initiatives.
• Lead provider education on HEDIS, Star Ratings, risk adjustment, and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities; present to leadership.
